We offer our Residents the chance to avail of either long or short term care packages.
- Convalescence & Rehabilitation
We offer 24hr Nursing Care to Residents that require convalescence post hospitalization.
- Respite
Respite care provides peace of mind and full care for the Resident when he/she requires a short break away from the home environment.
We provide the following services:
- Daily visit by Doctor
- Physiotherapy
- Occupational therapy
- Chiropody
- Dental Care
- Ophthalmic Care
- Speech and Language Therapy (S.A.L.T.)
- In-House Laundry
- Hairdresser
- Regular Pastoral Visits
Daily medical review of all Residents is carried out by Dr. Geraldine Scollan Greene, Medical Director or the Locum Tenans. Daily Reviews of all Residents’ individual care plans is carried out by the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Care Plans:
On admission, Care Planning is commenced.
This process will include input from:
- The Resident / Care Representative
- Medical Officer / GP
- CNM
- Nurses
- Health Care Assistants
- Activity Co-ordinator
- Kitchen Manager
The Care Planning process assesses the Residents’ care and social needs, plans their delivery, and their evaluation. The Care Plan is reviewed at 4 monthly intervals or sooner if there are changes in the Residents’ care/social needs.
Care Plans are available for the Residents and for the Residents’ Care Representative in a format appropriate.
Entertainment and Activities
In keeping with the concept of health promotion, we encourage our Residents to be active and involved. Our aim is for everybody to partake in interesting and meaningful activities. Our qualified Activities Coordinator organizes a wide range of social activities including:
- Live music sessions
- Irish dancing
- Social evenings
- Card/board games
- Bingo
- Quizzes
- Arts and crafts
- Poetry reading
- Reminiscent therapy and video backup
- Gardening in raised flower beds in secure enclosed courtyards
- In-House Book club
